a friend of mine recommended toraya to me a few weeks ago. i finally got a chance to check it out tonight.

the restaurant is small. we had to wait for like 10 mins on a friday night which wasnt bad at all.

we sat at the sushi bar yay. their menu look very simple and authentic. they dont serve crazy americanized maki-rolls which i dont like much anyways. when it comes to sushi, i just like simple fresh well prepared nigiri. i’d rather not eat them with soy sauce unless the fish isnt fresh enough to eat alone.
our deluxe sashimi- i enjoyed most of the fish. they were fresh except the tuna was a lil fishy. i actually liked his selection of fish too.

uni was really good and cheap. 7 bux for 2 big pieces ummmmm.
salmon, hamachi, tuna, uni, eel w/avocado
two orders were obviously not enough, had to go for the third.

spicy tuna – yum, i dont even remember when was the last time i had a hand roll.

he probably hated i kept taking pix of him.

the only dessert they serve is flan. it was average.

i enjoyed this place a lot. would def come back for more.
this place gets 4.3/5 bunny belly.
