I’ve never been to Boston, but I’m sure it’s a wonderful city, full of wonderful restaurants (apropos of your article here) and people. Everything I’ve ever heard about it has been good.
Well, except recently for your liberal, loudmouth mayor and the fact that you don’t seem to have a Chick-fil-A there. Hey, maybe you could start a campaign to get Chick-fil-A to open a franchise there. Wouldn’t that be something?
BTW, love your handle BunnyandPorkbelly. You sound like a foodie, like me.
You might enjoy a trip north to Brattleboro, Vermont for some Korean delights at ShinLa; there’s also a wonderful new restaurant named Popolo in Bellows Falls. If you do make the trek, let me know and we can share some food together. Susan
This post is going to be especially useful for me because I’ve just started spending a bit of my time in Boston and I could use some suggestions on where to dine, thanks. Have you been to any of the Italian restaurants in the North End where they have an accordion player?
I went to Boston earlier this year and absolutely loved it! Great city, I’m looking forward to going back again sometime. And of course, I’ll have to try out some of the food recommendations you have here.
Yikes, and to think I only made up a whole trendy Newton restaurant in my novel! how about jumping on the Green Line D for some Newton reviews? So hard to remember menu details out here in CA. Excellent, useful blog!
Hi — I lived in Boston for many years but left the entire area in 1985. Cannot believe how few restaurants on your list were there back then. I’ve got to go back if only to eat!
You might want to check out Misono in Chestnut Hill (VFW Parkway, a few doors down from the Bertucci’s.) I’d be interested to see how it compares to the other Japanese restaurants you’ve reviewed. In addition to sushi and Japanese, they’ve got some great Korean hot soups and dishes.

Yes. Don’t let the gays marry. In fact, let’s send them to camps to turn them straight. Your political opinion has no place on this food blog.
Boston is one of my favorite cities.

Thanks for liking my flower photos. We like the No Name for seafood in Boston. Now I’m ready for a restaurant rush.
