Sushi-Teq | Waterfront Boston, MA

couple of my friends from college jus recently moved to boston and we went out last night for a small reunion. my friend picked sushi-teq. ive also been wanting to try this place out since chef Toru Oga serves there as a chef consultant. im a big fan of his restaurant Oga’s Japanese Cuisine in Natick.

Sushi-Teq is a small sushi/tequila bar located at the lobby level of InterContinental hotel in the Financial District/waterfront.

although food at sushi-teq was not bad, it is not “destination-worthy” to make the trip here just to eat at sushi-teq (not to mention parking is always real pain in the butt). it’s VERY over-priced for what it is. fusion; hard to tell the freshness of the fish because even their nigiris had some kinda dressing on it, but i guess it’s relatively fresh? Toru Oga’s Oga’s Japanese Cuisine in Natick is a lot better than sushi teq although i do see a lot similarities. i dont recommend coming to this place unless you are already nearby and really really craving sushi and tequila/drinks at the same time. if you dont mind blowing a few benjamins, o ya is walking distance and serves mind blowing sushi.

Might try doing this at home! Haven’t come across any Japanese Restaurant that serves this in Asia yet…
But Tuna and Cranberry sounds awesome together!! At least to a sweet tooth like me who can add sweet to anything!
